‘I Never Doubted Bryce Young’, Says Local Man Who Doubted Bryce Young

PINEVILLE — A local Charlotte man told The Charlotten that he is “not surprised” by Bryce Young’s resurgent performance in the second half of the Panthers’ season, despite expressing just months prior that he had no faith whatsoever in the young quarterback.

At a time where many Panthers fans were unequivocally unconfident in Bryce Young, with general doubts about his small size, tippy-toe throws, and general discomfort in the pocket, Harbinger falsely maintains that he was one of the few people who believed the Alabama-product would eventually turn it all around.

“I saw this coming a mile away,” said Justin Harbinger, just straight-up lying. “I remember watching him those first two games of the season—looking panicked, off target, confused, and just plain lost—and thinking, man, this guy is gonna be our next franchise QB, I can see it.”

When confronted with the many since-deleted videos, posts, and text messages he made trashing Young, Harbinger grew frustrated and argued that his comments were being “taken out of context.”

“When I said that a 5’10, 180 pound, relatively immobile QB with a weak arm could never made it in this league, I was being ironic,” said Harbinger. “And sure, I said that anyone saying that this was an O-line problem needed to be publicly flogged, but c’mon, anyone with half a brain would know that I’m actually trying to imply that Bryce is our guy.”

Harbinger continued: “Yeah, okay, I might have praised the Red Rifle as the Second Coming of red-headed Jesus Christ, and sure, I was all for like, trading Bryce for some bellybutton lint or whatever, but you have to understand—that was all said with the full confidence that he would eventually make a massive, unprecedented comeback.”

Harbinger’s shameless flip-flop comes at a time where Bryce Young, with a helping hand from head coach Dave Canales and a brief benching reprieve, ended the season with a total of 44 big-time throws, which is 44 less than Harbinger originally predicted, but which he now says was ‘entirely foreseeable’.
